Bibbulmun Track Partnership

Buddiup and Sisterup are excited to be partnering with the Bibbulmun Track Foundation as part of their Eyes on the Track initiative. This involves being responsible for general maintenance and observation of one of the 58 sections of the track that stretches 1,000km from Kalamunda to Albany.

As part of our involvement, we will be responsible for section 3, a 4.4km stretch from Hewett’s Hill campsite to South Ledge lookout at Mundaring Weir (40minutes from our headquarters in West Perth).

We are now taking expressions of interest from participants who would like to be involved as we form a regular monthly program. This will involve meeting at our headquarters. Making a packed lunch together, completing a checklist ensuring we have the appropriate tools and equipment and then heading out to the track. We will spend 2-3 hours walking and observing the track and undertaking any general maintenance as required, finishing with a group lunch.

This program is suited to participants that enjoy being outdoors, have a foundational level of fitness (being able to walk 3-4km over a few hours) and are looking to develop further skills.

By undertaking this program, we see many benefits.

  • Assisting the foundation to undertake an important role in a world renowned hiking trail.

  • Learning planning and maintenance skills

  • Enjoying nature and physical activity

  • Time to socially connect with other like minded people

Participants will be supported by a mentor with an appropriate ratio (1:1 available, up to 1:3).

If you think this is something that could be of interest please complete the form below. We are looking make our first visit at the end of September.
