General Manager - Operations | Full Time

The Role

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced General Manager - Operations to lead our operational, risk, and governance functions. This is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring the organisation operates effectively, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations

  • Responsible for day-to-day leadership and management of full-time and casual staff

  • Oversee staff recruitment, induction, and training processes

  • Manage participant and staff management systems

  • Oversee service delivery across all programs and services

  • Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency

  • Develop and monitor team and organisational KPIs

  • Manage and mentor operational team

Governance

  • Lead governance processes including policy development and implementation

  • Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and regulatory requirements

  • Manage quality assurance processes and internal audits

  • Coordinate regulatory reporting and submissions to the NDIS Commission

  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and external agencies

  • Oversee organisational record keeping and documentation systems

Risk Management

  • Develop and implement risk management frameworks

  • Lead incident management and critical response processes

  • Ensure workplace health and safety compliance

  • Monitor and report on organisational risks

  • Manage complaints and feedback processes

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies

About You

Essential:

  • Strong operational leadership and team management skills

  • Proven senior leadership experience in disability services, allied health or related health/community/education services sector

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making and leadership capabilities

  • Thorough understanding of NDIS framework, Practice Standards, and regulatory requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in risk management and governance frameworks

  • Experience managing compliance and quality assurance processes

Desirable:

  • NDIS Approved Provider experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, health, or related field

  • Professional qualifications in risk management or governance

  • Experience with growth or organisational change
